Nepal (Lung-ta Project)
ルンタ・プロジェクトは、1997年に代表の中原一博氏により設立された日本人有志のNGOです。商品はすべてプロジェクトが支援するネパール人女性によって作られたものであり、売上は人身売買被害者やHIV陽性者、AIDS患者の子どもや女性の ための自立村の建設・運営支援に充てられています。
Lung-ta Project is a NGO founded by Mr. Kazuhiro Nakahara in 1997. Their handcrafted works are all created by Nepali and Indian women. Profits from selling is all applied to the construction and manage of community for survivors of human trafficking, HIV patients, AIDs patients and their children.
India (Rescue Foundation)
レスキュー・ファンデーションは、1993年にインド人のアチャルヤ夫妻によって設立されました。その名の通り、現地警察や同問題に取り組むNGOと協力し、売春宿で働く女性たちのレスキュー活動を実施します。商品はすべてレスキューされた人身売買被害者の女性たちによって作られたものです。
Rescue Foundation is a NGO founded in 1993 by Indian couple Mr. and Mrs. Acharya. As its name shows, they rescue women who are forced to work in brothel, in close cooperation with the police and relevant NGOs. The handcrafted works are all made by those survivors recued from the brothel.
Thailand (NightLight Collection)
NighLightは、2005年に設立されて以降、セックスワーカーとして働いてきた女性たちへ職業訓練を提供し、彼女たちが技術を身に着け、自立して生きていくための支援を行ってきました。ジュエリーや衣服作りにおける高い技術力を身に着けるトレーニングを女性たちに提供するだけでなく、女性たちに英語教育や奨学金を得るためのサポートも行い、充実した教育を受けれるように支援も行っています。あなたの購入は、女性たちにとって生涯続く支援になります。
NightLight was founded in 2005 in Thailand. After its foundation, the organization has been supporting women through vocational training so that these women get the professional skills and become economically independent. Not only these supports, but the organization also provides English learning opportunities as well as supporting women to acquire scholarship to pursue further education. Your purchase will be their life-long support.
人身取引とは
国連の「国際組織犯罪防止条約人身取引議定書」では、人身取引は以下のように定義されています。
「「人身取引」とは、搾取の目的で、暴力その他の形態の強制力による脅迫若しくはその行使、誘拐、詐欺、欺もう、権力の乱用若しくはぜい弱な立場に乗ずることまたは他の者を支配下に置く者の同意を得る目的で行われる金銭若しくは利益の授受の手段を用いて、人を獲得し、輸送し、引き渡し、蔵匿し、又は収受することをいう。搾取には、少なくとも、他の者を売春させて搾取することその他の形態の性的搾取、強制的な労働若しくは役務の提供、奴隷化若しくはこれに類する行為、隷属又は臓器の摘出を含める」
The definition of Trafficking in Persons
In the ”Protocol to Prevent, Suppress, and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, Supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime”, the trafficking in persons is defined as follows.
“ The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation. Exploitation shall include, at a minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs.”

In Asia, it is estimated that around 600,000~800,000people including minors are trafficked annually. In this, 150,000 are from South Asia.
